Ponte delle Guglie
The Ponte delle Guglie was built by Proto Marchesin Marchesino in 1580 and for the first time the joints of the arch were concealed by masks.
The bridge was originally called the Ponte di Cannaregio, but when, in 1823, it was rebuilt and four obelisks (guglie) were added, its name was changed to the Ponte delle Guglie. |
