Santa Sofia

Open: 09.00-12.00 (Except Thursdays).
A church dedicated to Santa Sofia has stood on this site since at least the 11th century, but today's building only dates back to the 18th century. 

​Santa Sofia, which comprises a nave and two aisles, is very easy to miss, as it is almost completely obscured by a two storey house. 

​The church is home to what remains of a rather beautiful sculpture of the Madonna and Child by André Beauneveu (c.1335-c.1400) and to four saints which have been ascribed to Antonio Rizzo.
