San Felice
A church dedicated to Saint Felix was founded on this site as far back as the 10th century. It was rebuilt in its present form after 1531.
The interior of San Felice takes the form of a Greek Cross with a dome over the crossing. One of the altarpieces is decorated with a painting by Tintoretto and depicts St. Demetrius and donor. The sculpture of the angel holding a thurifer, which stands above the main entrance (facing the canal) to the church, dates back to the 14th century. |
