Palazzetto Bru Zane
The Palazzetto Bru Zane was built between 1695 and 1697 by Antonio Gaspari and his pupil, Domenico Rossi. The richly ornate stucco-work has been attributed to Abbondio Stazio, while the frescoes are thought to be the work of Sebastiano Ricci.
The palazzetto was built as a casino and used for the entertainments of the Zane family, who lived in the nearby Palazzo Zane (now a Technical Institute). The two buildings were separated by a splendid formal garden. The palazzetto was restored in 2009 and is now home to the Centre de Musique Romantique Francaise. |
